Job Descriptions:

The Kitchen/Food Preparer is responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of food items according to the quality standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Reads charts to determine amount and kind of foods and supplies to be packaged
* Make the correct labels with appropriate date and attach to food products
* Ensure that prepared food is stored in proper environment such as refrigerator
* Complete opening and closing checklists
* Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
* Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
* Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls grills, fryers, oven, and refrigeration equipment
* Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen
* Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to Manager
* Informs Manager immediately of product shortages
* Other duties as assigned
* Assist in dishwashing, cleaning, sandwiches and all other departments when needed

Job Requirements

* Able to do repetitious work accurately;
* Ability to read, understand and speak basic English to perform essential functions of the job.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, recipes, production sheets, temperature logs, safety rules, MSDS sheets.
* Neat in appearance
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (flexible schedule).
* Regularly required to stand
* Frequently required to walk and talk or hear.
* Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
