Job Descriptions :
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing and overseeing the personnel department within a company or organization.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel. Conducts new-employee orientations; monitors succession planning; and writes and places advertisements
- Overseeing the human resources department staff, developing of department goals, objectives and systems and handling all issues involving employee relations, complaints and concerns
- Administers human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in develop of policy; prepares and maintains the employee handbook
- Maintains and continually updates job descriptions, company organizational charts and employee directory
- Ensuring all record keeping with regards to employee files, worker’s compensation, health and liability insurance
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Training management and regular team members on safety, sexual harassment, company policies, procedures and other topics
- Oversees compensation and benefits programs, performance appraisal process and ensures timeliness of annual reviews
- Conducts safety audits of stores and franchisees and all internal investigations
- Participates in staff meetings, conducts weekly HR visits to corporate stores
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Good communication skills, both written and orally, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve employee concerns in a timely manner
- Able to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Extremely organized, accurate, thorough and able to monitor quality of work
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
- Exceptional team building capability
- High School Diploma or GED. College or university Degree Preferred
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment
- Must be able to travel anywhere
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Speak and write Vietnamese and English
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential
- A bachelor’s degree and three to five years of HR experience
